Eagle Eye helps in the digital transformation of the city of Elche

In order to address security challenges and make better use of the staffing resources of the city of Elche, Aryse has reused existing cameras to create a modern cloud-based urban video surveillance system with Eagle Eye Networks.

The Spanish city of Elche is carrying out a digital transformation in order to address the security challenges faced by the city.

Managing incidents through complex IT systems had been a constant challenge for the IT staff of the City Council of Elche.

When the pandemic occurred, remote work was imposed and it became clear that many of the systems could not be carried out remotely, which made the rapid management of security incidents difficult.

En colaboración con Aryse Infrastructures, the project improved the safety of the citizens of Elche, while making better use of the city's limited personnel resources.

Aryse reused existing cameras from different manufacturers to create a cloud-based video surveillance system Eagle Eye Networks, transforming outdated and disparate components into a powerful security system.

The municipal authorities decided to upgrade their video surveillance system to achieve greater ease of use, camera visibility, remote access to video, instant notifications and alerts of security incidents, ability to share images with the police and other city departments and simple, cost-effective maintenance. Besides, was looking for a flexible and scalable solution.

He VMS (video management system) in Eagle Eye Networks' cloud they could reuse existing cameras in the city, even if they were from different manufacturers; storage retention requirements were easily met; and the different camera resolutions (depending on the equipment and location) were configured quickly. The project involved moving one hundred cameras to the cloud.

In the next five years, the city plans to expand the system to more than 250 cameras, applying artificial intelligence (IA) to better investigate incidents.
