Hospital Ceuta Dedalus Ingesa

The system of Dedalus E Ingest centralize the management of the identity of patients and users and professionals who use information systems in hospitals and primary care centers.

Awarded the project by the Directorate of the National Institute of Health Management (Ingest), the specialist in digital health solutions and diagnostics Dedalus deploy a centralized identity management system, with identification and facial biometric registration in the Regional Hospital of Melilla and the University Hospital of Ceuta, as well as in the primary care centers of both autonomous cities.

The technological solution, awarded in a joint venture with FacePhi, Spanish company in technology for the verification of identity of users and biometrics, is composed of the patient master system, Dedalus resources and users, integrated with the identity verification of the latter company.

Hospital Melilla Dedalus Ingesafor Bethlehem Hernando Galan, director of Ingesa, "improving healthcare safety is an objective that is always being worked on. Hence the importance of this technological advance at the service of security in access to medical records and, therefore, in the attention to our users. This system will avoid duplication, impersonations, errors in treatments and more".

This joint development is the one that will be integrated in turn with Ingesa's healthcare systems in both autonomous cities thanks to the interoperability of the Dedalus digital health platform (DC4H).

As a result,, this solution will improve the quality of care by unifying the discharge process and verifying the patient's identity; integrate population databases; optimize the management process of professionals and users in the different care and administrative systems of Ingesa, along with increased security in the identification process with facial biometric recognition.

Marisa Felipe, Managing Director of Dedalus Iberia, underlines the satisfaction of having been awarded the project, "since this patient master system, resources and users with biometric identification is a big step towards value-based digital health models, with a focus on improving data management, in which it is a pride to participate".

In this line, Javier Mira, President and CEO of FacePhi, points out that the tender "is a reinforcement to our entry into the industry of public administrations. The contract awarded by Ingesa for the application of our identity verification technology in hospitals, is a clear example of trust and represents a boost to its expansion into new industries and use cases".
