With this functionality it is possible to perform an intelligent search and relate the faces of a video to the corresponding database.

Tyco Integrated Fire & Security has incorporated facial biometrics into VideoEdge security systems, facilitating the immediate detection and verification of persons.

The simple integration of face recognition allows security officers to perform an intelligent search that relates, automatically, the faces of a video, linking them to the corresponding database.

This allows security operators to identify criminals, laid-off employees, VIPs and other persons of interest. In addition, familiar faces are recorded and saved, associating with videos for future research.

In this way, a chain of stores can add the photo of a thief to its database so that it can be identified throughout the company's network. If that person walks into another store, operators instantly receive an alert to take action to reduce theft losses.

"The incorporation of facial biometrics in VideoEdge allows to improve the prevention of losses and reduce the time of investigation. The technology used to match the different points of the face with the images stored in the database has a very high level of success", explains Manuel Latorre, director of the High Security division of Tyco Integrated Fire & Security.

In addition, VideoEdge users will be able to use the facial recognition tool with the House C Cure software 9000 + Event Management for a more complete and unified solution.
If the system detects an unauthorized use of an id or access card, security operators would receive an immediate visual notification from the person concerned in order to act.
