IndigoVision has released a new edition of the SMS4 version software 5 and the Camera Gateway, that allows the integration of IP cameras from major manufacturers into the company's management software suite.

blankThe manufacturer of IP video security solutions, IndigoVision, announced the release of its SMS4 version software 5, which includes the Camera Gateway, that allows the integration of IP cameras from major manufacturers into IndigoVision's SMS4 system, making it easy to update customers' IP and CCTV surveillance systems, to a brand quality solution.

Camera Gateway allows third-party cameras to connect to IndigoVision SMS4 using their native protocols and allows users to view flows in the IndigoVision control center. Cameras can be controlled, view and record in the same way as IndigoVision cameras. Camera Gateway also supports PTZ control, markers and moving recording. Camera Gateway is a software service that can be installed on a Windows-based server, giving customers total flexibility. The service allows multiple customers to stream and watch video from the same camera.

Marcus Kneen, CEO of IndigoVision, has declared: "Camera Gateway is the product that will change the market and make IndigoVision's SMS4 the preferred open system. Since we offer support for the ONVIF standard and integration with other management programs, SMS4 version 5 and Camera Gateway will establish IndigoVision as one of the most open IP security systems on the market".

SMS4 version 5 it also includes motion recording and markers for IndigoVision cameras and compatible manufacturers. Motion recording allows users to reduce storage by setting up the system to record video only when there is activity, while video image markers make it easier to find and review key evidence. Users can upgrade their SMS4 software to the version 5 through the Software Update Program (Sup) by IndigoVision.
