The Takex infrared barriers allow perimeter protection of a dock

For the installation of a perimeter protection system on a dock, it was necessary for the detector to be resistant to harsh environmental conditions and reliable. An active infrared beam system was required.

The constant movement of the dock and direct and reflected sunlight on the water were the factors that led to the selection of PB-HF/KH infrared barriers from Takex, brand marketed in Spain and Portugal by ProdexTec.

These barriers are synchronized to maintain range and stability in adverse weather conditions, while ignoring false alarms caused by birds, animals, or fallen leaves. Besides, this model was specifically modified to withstand the harsh marine environment.

The mount where the barriers were to be attached was almost as important as choosing the right barriers. The housing had to be highly resistant to sunlight and easy to install, so the barriers were housed in double-sided towers (360º) PT.
