IP Security integrates video surveillance and communications at the Garraf Yacht Club in Barcelona

Este puerto deportivo de la costa catalana ha confiado en esta ingeniería especializada para ofrecer servicios de valor añadido a sus clientes, garantizando al máximo la seguridad personal y de sus embarcaciones en estas instalaciones con tecnología Panasonic.

El Club Náutico Garraf lleva más de 45 años ofreciendo sus servicios como puerto deportivo en el bello enclave del mismo nombre, ubicado a tan solo veinte minutos de la capital catalana, donde cuenta con más 78.000 metros cuadrados en instalaciones (incluido restaurante y club social) y amarres para embarcaciones de hasta 18 metros de eslora.

Para mejorar la calidad de sus servicios y ofrecer valor añadido a sus clientes, sus responsables contactaron con la ingeniería IP Security so that it could provide them with solutions in this regard and offer them greater security guarantees at the club, both personal and for their boats.

For the Nautical Club Garraf the priorities of this project focused on installing a centralized video surveillance system within the club itself and with distances between camera location points of up to 250 metros, leaving the facilities free of cables to maintain the harmony of the installation.

In addition, the installation of a weather station at the entrance, along with a camera that provided real-time weather data, of the sea state, tráfico, etc; all of which are necessary for navigation and of interest to the users, and it will be displayed on a screen located in the main building of this Catalan nautical club.

Another of the needs expressed by its managers focused on improving the quality of the Internet service offered to customers in this facility, expanding communication lines and access bandwidths, also ensuring the protection of their systems against possible unwanted external access.

After studying these requirements, IP Security designed and deployed the most suitable solution, which also allowed its implementation in the requested time (only four days), and with the added value of responding to their current needs as well as for the future.

For this, esta ingeniería ha conectado las tres cámaras ubicadas en el edificio principal del club náutico mediante cable RJ45 y con alimentación PoE, así como las cuatro nuevas cámaras IP ‘remotas’ de Panasonic instaladas y la estación meteorológica situada en la bocana, a través de dos radioenlaces de 5 Ghz, que se ubican en el tejado de dicho edificio y que actúan como estación base de los otros enlaces.

Estas cámaras en red cuentan con zoom óptico 22X y rotación de 360º, cuyas imágenes se controlan y graban en un DVR ubicado también en el edificio del Club Náutico Garraf, que se visualizan en un monitor de 32”. Estos sistemas ofrecen además los datos meteorológicos en tiempo real, both to club customers and via the web, which are displayed on a screen installed in the captaincy.

The marina now has a fully wireless network infrastructure that allows it to expand the services it wants to offer its customers, with a scalable structure both to add new cameras quickly and economically, since it does not depend on the installation of new cabling, thus reducing costs.
