Arecont Vision adds long-range P-Iris lenses to its MegaView and Megadome cameras 2

MegaView Megapixel Network Cameras 2 and Megadome 2 Arecont Vision now incorporates long-range P-Iris infrared lighting, with ranges of 8-22 mm; 9-22 mm. y 11-22mm.

The American manufacturer Arecont Vision has incorporated its second generation of MegaDomey MegaView IP cameras with resolution of up to ten megapixels with long-range P-Iris or TelePhoto lenses., with ranges of 8-22 mm. for 1080p models; of 9-22 mm. in the chambers 3 y 5 megapixels, and of 11-22. mm for models 10 megapixels.

For Raúl Calderón, senior vice president of Arecont Vision, “These new Telephoto lens formats further increase the coverage ranges of our popular MegaDome IP cameras 2 and MegaView 2 day and night. The new IR LED illumination guarantees sufficient illumination to capture high-quality images and maximum detail at long distances in practically complete darkness.”.

In this sense, All formats described are also equipped with long-range Led-IR lighting for use at night. The incorporation of the new P-Iris lenses allows adjustment of the field of vision (focal distance), as well as focusing remotely from the control center.

P-Iris lenses offer iris aperture management that ensures depth-of-field adjustment to obtain focused images at both short distances and areas of interest selected by the user., such as in more distant areas or general focus of the vision area, since the camera determines and sets the best focus adjustment in each case.

MegaDome2 and MegaView2 cameras also incorporate Extended Dynamic Range technology (WDR) up to 100db at maximum resolution and without loss of image refresh in the 1,080p and 3 megapixels. Combining areas of the image with long exposure (for brightly lit environments) and slow exposure (with little or no light), WDR offers a final image with maximum detail and clarity, including high contrast areas, which represents an increase of 50dB of improvement in the video signal, three hundred times better than conventional cameras, according to data provided by Arecont Vision.
