The Panasonic WV-SW158 and WV-SF138 dome cameras ensure surveillance in challenging locations

Panasonic has applied its most innovative detection technologies to develop its vandal-resistant i-Pro Full HD dome cameras WV-SW158 and WV-SF138.

The two latest dome camera models from Panasonic, the WV-SW158 (para exterior) and the WV-SF138 (for indoor use), are designed with Mega Super Dynamic technology, which offers a dynamic range of 128x and combines facial detection and backlight functions, which ensures the capture of clear, sharp and well-focused images.

The facial detection system of the Panasonic WV-SW158 and WV-SF138 cameras includes an additional functionality that allows, when the camera detects a suspicious face, the XML data is sent automatically to trigger an alarm on a compatible video recorder to alert security personnel.

Both the WV-SF138 and WV-SW158 models are compatible with the Onvif standard and provide images in Full HD at 1080p and at 30 IPS. As both cameras operate with the manufacturer's UniPhier technology, the signals are transmitted simultaneously in H.264 High Profile and JPEG, which allows real-time monitoring, while recording in Full HD.

Besides, priority flow control allows prioritizing a video stream, so that when multiple recorders and computers are accessing the device simultaneously, The frame rate is maintained and service quality and security are guaranteed.

VMD Detection

These Panasonic i-Pro Full HD vandal-proof dome cameras feature a motion detection system (VMD) programmable so that when any activity is detected, image transfer via FTP is activated, email alerts are generated and other types of alarms are triggered.

The VMD system allows security personnel to receive automatic notifications of potential security issues, allowing them to respond more quickly and efficiently. Besides, thanks to the ability to choose the light control mode for indoor use, Fluorescent lights between 50Hz/60Hz have no effect on image quality, which means the camera pre-adjustment time can be reduced.

The aperture angle of both cameras ensures accurate recording in areas selected by the user with a horizontal range of 100° and vertical of 81°. This, in combination with the Privacy Zone that covers up to two areas, such as windows or entrances and exits, make the WV-SF138 and WV-SW158 two ideal dome units for surveillance in challenging locations.
