Genetec Mission Control

The integration between the decision management system Genetec Mission Control and digital evidence Clearance facilitates investigations after a security incident.

Genetec has announced a new integration between its decision management system Mission Control and that of digital evidence Clearance, which allows moving from incident response to investigation from a single interface.

The security systems installed in banking institutions, hospitals or public services handle a large volume of data. Usually, they find themselves needing to share video evidence and details of security incidents with internal departments, law enforcement and public security forces, lawyers or insurance companies.

This information includes video evidence, as well as details of the events as they unfolded, and the measures that were taken during the incident.

Now, thanks to the integration between Mission Control and Clearance, all cameras linked to an event can be exported in a single action to a case in the digital evidence management system Clearance.

With the integration of Mission Control with Clearance we are simplifying the process of investigating security incidents. This efficiency allows our clients to do more with their systems and the information they collect, while leveraging existing technology to achieve their business goals, explains Erick Ceresato, director of the Genetec product group.

Advantages of the integration:

  • Reduce the time that operators spend documenting and creating a synopsis of an incident.
  • Recordings can be stored according to the retention period, defined by the nature of the incident and the organization's business policy.
  • The Mission Control security incident report is also retained as part of the case. This allows organizations to demonstrate policy compliance when handling.
  • Just like video exports, it is possible to share reports with other parties or use them internally for auditing purposes.
