Royalmount Montreal
Royalmount, the new commercial and leisure complex in Montreal, will use a unified security system to Genetec protect visitors, optimize daily operations and adapt as the complex grows.

Royalmount, which will bring together 170 establecimientos, included 60 restaurants and cafés, cultural programming, public art and green spaces in a single connected district, will employ Genetec Security Center to unify physical security and facilitate its daily operations.

Royalmount is expected to receive between 11 y 12 millones de visitantes al año. The complex includes an urban park of about 7000 square meters, a pedestrian bridge connected to the Montreal metro network and approximately 3600 covered and outdoor parking spaces.

Operators do not have to switch applications to investigate incidents or manage access. All doors and their associated cameras are easily visible on the same maps.

The open architecture of Security Center also provides Royalmount with the flexibility needed to integrate complementary technologies and to introduce new capabilities as operational requirements or objectives change. This is especially important for a complex that will continue to expand over multiple phases.

The cameras Genetec AutoVu SharpV are part of Royalmount's broader parking system. In combination with vehicle logging technologies, parking management and complex payment, The cameras recognize the registered license plates and allow vehicles to enter in approximately one or two seconds. This helps simplify the arrival of visitors, while providing the operations team with useful information about vehicle activity.
Laying the foundations to support growth

As Royalmount continues to develop, the team plans to explore greater use of analytics to better understand attendance, capacity, traffic patterns, and how visitors use different areas. This information will help the team manage events and improve the visitor experience.
