World of Volvo shields itself with Genetec's unified platform

World of Volvo, The Brand Experience Center driven by Volvo Group and Volvo Cars in Gothenburg (Suecia), implanta Genetec Security Center para reforzar la seguridad del recinto y proteger a los más de 2.500 visitantes que recibe cada día.

La solución se ha desplegado junto con más de un centenar de cámaras i-Pro, en un proyecto gestionado por el integrador de sistemas Granitor. World of Volvo es un centro de experiencia de 22.000 square meters que alberga exposiciones permanentes y temporales; así como espectáculos, presentaciones y eventos externos. En línea con la histórica apuesta de Volvo por la seguridad, el objetivo del proyecto es garantizar una experiencia segura tanto para los visitantes como para las instalaciones desde su apertura.

Ulf Hermansson, gerente de Instalaciones y Seguridad de World of Volvo, states that “desde que se inauguró el edificio, nuestro objetivo ha sido protegerlo lo mejor posible. Comprehensive protection

In addition to its daily activity as an exhibition space, World of Volvo hosts third-party events, such as presentations or book launches, which requires constant surveillance and agile operation from the control room. For this, the security team monitors more than one hundred i-Pro cameras, including PTZ cameras, fisheye and multi-sensor cameras.

According to Hermansson, the ease of use It has been a determining factor in the choice of platform: “We have selected the combination of i-Pro cameras and Genetec Security Center, because it allows us to start operating quickly and because it is easy to use. Con Security Center, it is simple to see what is happening and make quick decisions on how to respond. The implementation of Genetec is not limited to the experience center. And almacén Volvo's smaller site also incorporated Genetec Security Center, allowing World of Volvo staff and security teams to monitor its perimeter.
