Genetec unifica la seguridad en 40 Leadenhall (Londres)
40 Leadenhall, uno de los mayores proyectos urbanísticos de la City de Londres, implements Genetec Security Center and Genetec Mission Control to create a modern and seamless experience for visitors and tenants.
The complex spans more than 83 600 square meters of commercial offices, services and commercial premises, and accommodates up to 10 000 occupants. Given the scale of the project, a unified security platform was necessary, ultimately choosing Genetec Security Center to achieve the necessary flexibility to integrate the best hardware and software, facilitate informed decision-making and adapt the interface to a wide range of user needs and access privileges.
Viet Tang, Genetec account executive, takes pride in “protecting an ever-growing portfolio of landmark buildings across the City of London, including some of its newest and largest-scale developments.
Access control and visitor experience technologies from partners like HID Global, Mercury Communications and STid help to facilitate smooth navigation throughout the facility. Occupants can use mobile wallet credentials for seamless access, while visitors receive QR code passes that eliminate the need for temporary plastic cards. The integrated cameras of Axis Communications enhance situational awareness throughout the premises.
Genetec workstations, located throughout the building, proporcionan role-based access to operators. Reception staff can register visitors, while control room security teams can generate reports, investigate incidents and monitor live video, either on dedicated workstations or on tablets.

A truly smart building
Stewart Maynard, Director of Intelligent Systems at 40 Leadenhall, destaca que “the Genetec security system is easy to use and allows us to provide first-class service to our occupants and guests, ensuring occupant well-being and building security. Collaboration between delivery teams, systems and service partners has helped make 40 Leadenhall a truly smart building”.
Al upload interactive plans to Security Center, Operators can quickly identify devices, investigate activity or access live video with a single click, which significantly reduces training times. The building's digital experience is further enhanced through integration with the app 40 Leadenhall, powered by VTS Activate. Tenants can issue virtual visitor passes, receive arrival notifications and seamlessly access services such as wellness spaces, bicycle facilities and the Peloton studio.
“We believe Genetec offers the ideal platform to support future growth and technology objectives of 40 Leadenhall. Investment in cutting-edge technology, backed by strong partnerships, situate a 40 Leadenhall at the forefront of innovation”, concluye Maynard.
