The arrivals hall of an international airport is usually located on the first floor of the building and is open to the general public, without having to pass any kind of security control, which is a problem in protecting the facility and people.

An example of this is an international airport facility, in which one of the partitions of the arrivals hall is a glass wall of, Approximately, 250 meters in length, that doesn't extend from the floor to the ceiling, since it has two openings (up and down).

These open and unsym protection spaces allowed objects to pass from one side of the wall to pass the border control. Objects thrown through these openings could be collected later, passed control and undeclared.

The selected solution that responded to the necessary surveillance has been the manufacturer's GJD500 D-Tect laser scanning detector GJD, product marketed by ProdexTec in Spain and Portugal, that has allowed you to create a virtual wall of 25×25 M.

This laser scanning detector can map the detection area from the ground to the ceiling, even if the construction is uneven. In addition, it is possible to program the unit to detect objects of different sizes, as well as the time when the object is in the detection area.

Laser accuracy means no crosses occur in unwanted areas. With a very fast installation, this device is easy to program and offers high reliability, performance and durability, since its installation there have been no problems with annoying activations.
