Diode adds Samsung Techwin's IP video surveillance solutions to its portfolio
El mayorista Diode, through its communications division, has incorporated into its portfolio the network video surveillance solutions of the manufacturer Samsung Techwin for marketing in the Iberian market.
The agreement signed between the network security systems manufacturer Samsung Techwin y Diode, through its communications division, includes the marketing of the IP video surveillance products of the former in the Spanish and Portuguese markets through this wholesaler's channel.
The incorporation of this manufacturer's range of systems expands Diode's IP network-based technology catalog to facilitate its installation in numerous environments and enhance the performance of security and video analysis systems thanks to the capabilities of Samsung Techwin's open DSP WiseNet III platform.
As Joanne Herman explains, marketing director of the security solutions division of Samsung Techwin Europe, within a year we will look back and be amazed at the large number of video-based applications that will have been introduced. In small retail, For example, users can now use the video analysis function of Agent VI, designed to provide data to the marketing department about customer behavior inside stores and generate heat maps to know which sections are the busiest by hour or day of the week.
In this sense, the signing of the agreement coincides with the launch of Samsung Techwin's DSP WiseNet III chipset incorporated in the new cameras of 1,3 a 5 megapixels from this manufacturer, which provides WDR of 100 dB; SSLE to reduce motion blur, P-Iris, 60 fps, as well as motion detection, among many other features.
The open platform of the DSP WiseNet III allows integration with practically any video management software (VMS), such as those offered by Genetec, Milestone, Axxon, Ipronet, Exacq and Seetec.
