Video surveillance system manufacturer Samsung Techwin has strengthened its IP product range with the SNF-7010, a high-definition dome-like camera with vision of 360 Degrees.

Samsung Techwin SNF-7010

The SNF-7010 dome camera Samsung Techwin Incorporates 3 megapixels of resolution and 360 degrees of vision, with the ability to select different display options, as a fisheye of 360 Degrees, panoramic view and double panoramic view, as well as the combination of panoramic view with square or rectangular images and selection of areas by the user.

This IP dome, compatible with the Onvif standard, has a digital PTZ and uses progressive scanning technology to achieve perfectly defined edges of people and moving vehicles.

Samsung Techwin SNF-7010This model supports up to six video streams using H.264 and MJPEG compression formats, offering the option of simultaneously transmitting images to multiple locations and at different frame ratees. In this way, multiple users, if authorized, can simultaneously control live images from a location, record images that serve as evidence on another or view live images.

For Tim Biddulph, IP product manager at Samsung Techwin Europe, "increasingly recommending cameras with vision of 360 degrees for projects where constant monitoring of activity is required, such as banks, Offices, shops and warehouses. The advantage they offer is that you only need one camera 360 degrees to effectively and affordably cover an entire area where, usually, it would take a higher number of systems to avoid possible blind spots. No moving parts, savings are also noticeable in maintenance costs".

SNF-7010 integrates an SD memory card slot, SDHC and SDXC, that allows authorized users to access and download, remotely, the videos recorded in it. Among other features, this model includes the configuration of four motion detection polygon zones, privacy masks, sabotage alert and bidirectional sound. The built-in microphone, when combined with internal video analysis, also allows sound detection.
