So far manager of Siemens' Building Automation business unit in Spain, Jesús Daza has been appointed new CEO of the company's Building Technologies division, after the retirement of Jesús Dueñas.

Siemens has appointed Jesús Daza as general manager of the division Building Technologies of the company in Spain, within the Infrastructure sector & Cities, after the retirement of the one who to date has been responsible, Jesus Dueñas.

Daza, which joined Siemens in 2001 and where he has served as director of the Building Automation business unit and the Siemens delegation in Madrid, has pointed out that its main objective is that "Siemens plays an important role in the modernization of Spanish cities and infrastructures to make them more efficient and safe and thus contribute to economic development".

With this challenge, the Building Automation business will be reorganized and all activities will be customer-oriented, that "they must be the center of everything we do", underlines Daza.

For this manager, market conditions remain difficult, but the economic outlook is better than it was just six months ago and "we hope that some of the public and private projects initiated can receive the necessary funding to be completed".

Siemens' Building Technologies business division is dedicated to developing and providing services, integrate systems and solutions for building automation, fire protection, safety and control systems and HVAC.
