With this new standard, sets a characteristic curve of progressive stress shooting / time and there is also a time of non-response to prevent unwanted actions.

The highlights are the inclusion of a new scope: domestic and similar facilities; establishing a progressive tension firing curve / time and the need for the permanent surge protector to always be associated with the main cutting element of the facility (mainly for the performance and disconnection on the general automatic switch). At last, as a working principle, does not allow the use of ground leakage or imbalance.

This regulation was published in 2012 and aims to regulate the design of equipment intended for protection against temporary or permanent surges.
