Schneider Electric presenta Pelco 3D, the first software for designing three-dimensional video surveillance systems

Pelco by Schneider Electric and Fortem Software have collaborated to develop a unique tool to make the design and management of 3D video surveillance systems a reality. Pelco 3D significantly reduces time, optimizes the design costs of new video surveillance installations and allows adaptation to the specific needs of each client thanks to its customization capability.

Schneider Electric has released Pelco 3D to the market, the first software in the sector that allows designing complete video surveillance systems in three dimensions. La herramienta, which can be downloaded for free on the website of Pelco by Schneider Electric, significantly reduces the costs of new installations by facilitating the choice of the most appropriate combination of cameras. Para el diseño de Pelco 3D, la compañía ha contado con la colaboración de Fortem Software, empresa dedicada al desarrollo de software de generación avanzada destinado a innovar estándares de seguridad pública y privada, y que ha trabajado, inter alia, para Google, Adobe y la Agencia Espacial Canadiense.

So, we can determine if we need to change the current camera selection or if, on the contrary, the selection is correct.

El software, which is compatible with all Pelco cameras, it imports a 2D map of the facility to generate a 3D prototype in which designers and integrators can test different camera options, lenses and placements. With the functions of pixel per object calculator and preview, a customized coverage is achieved and the installation cost is optimized by being able to select the right combination for each client.

Entre las características más destacadas de Pelco 3D by Schneider Electric están los ángulos de visionado, con imágenes inmediatas en 3D que examinan el buen funcionamiento de los requerimientos del diseño; y la factura de material que el comercial puede imprimir tras escoger los tipos de cámara y las lentes, y que incluye datos de disponibilidad en Pelco. Besides, para controlar el sistema, la herramienta crea un informe sencillo y completo que incluye datos sobre las lentes y las cámaras: su situación dentro del mapa 3D, su altura, su campo de visión y los tres puntos de vista con que trabajan (picado, vista de pájaro, vista de la cámara).
