FLIR Systems anuncia la adquisición de Traficon International

The infrared thermal camera manufacturer FLIR Systems has acquired the company Traficon International NV, specialized in the development of video detection technologies for traffic applications.

FLIR Systems, specialist in the design and manufacture of thermal imaging cameras for a wide variety of applications, ha entrado de lleno en el mercado de videovigilancia para gestión de tráfico con la adquisición de la empresa belga Traficon, developer of video image processing software and hardware for traffic analysis. Traficon produces intelligent technology that makes traffic safer and more efficient through solutions for the automatic detection of incidents, the collection of traffic data and the detection of vehicle crossings and pedestrian presence.

Through this integration, FLIR Systems expects to increase the pace of adoption of FLIR technology in the growing market for video-based traffic control solutions worldwide. Apart from that, Traficon's video analysis capabilities will be included in the other imaging diagnostics business lines offered by FLIR.
