Flir adds advanced GPS geolocation to its Si2 series for more precise acoustic inspections

Flir (Teledyne Technologies) will integrate GPS into its acoustic imaging cameras from the Si2 series, an update that adds geolocation capabilities to predictive maintenance workflows and field technical inspections.

With this improvement, each acoustic image generated by the Si2 equipment now includes geospatial metadata that is automatically integrated into the software Flir Acoustic Viewer y Flir Thermal Studio. This synchronization allows to organize, view and document findings based on their exact location, optimizing traceability and trend analysis in distributed assets.
