Visual Tools will present at SICUR 2012 your new VX-ATM equipment
It offers faster and more accurate downloads of the video recorded by the equipment (up to 50x) and a new external video player that allows playing all the files in a directory one after another and even creating new files by merging existing ones. Besides, it incorporates a protection mechanism that allows the user in client mode to continue working with a local database until returning to network operation is possible.
Equipment specially designed for the banking sector
Among the new features that Visual Tools will present at its stand during the 18th edition of the SICUR fair, in addition to the full range of DVRs in version 4, there is a piece of equipment aimed at banking security: the VX-ATM, a specially designed device for integration into ATMs. With a dual functionality of video surveillance and transaction security, the VX-ATM device helps improve the security of any banking institution as it allows detecting fraudulent operations and acts of vandalism while reinforcing the security of cash deposits and withdrawals by customers.
VX-ATM is a compact-sized DVR with a hard drive and connection for up to 2 cameras that can be easily embedded in any ATM and that, connected to the same network as the institution, is capable of recording data transactions simultaneously with the related video and transmitting them via TCP/IP on user demand. Cameras can be used for video surveillance, for recording ATM transactions or for both purposes since their purpose is to link the person performing a transaction with the transaction, but also to identify any incidents in the environment.
Their operation is simple. The VX-ATM - synchronized with the ATM- tags the transaction made with the date and time when it is received and assigns the transaction to the camera associated with that device. So, the transaction is recorded along with the video from the associated camera, allowing text searches afterwards. For the transmission of transactions between ATMs and the VX-ATM recording equipment, the existing local network is used. Transactions can be recorded as they occur and in the desired format, since the transaction streaming application is independent.
Merging ATM data with surveillance images allows easy and quick identification and evidence of fraudulent operations such as: cash withdrawals and deposits, detection of unauthorized persons, transaction tampering, fraudulent operations, etc. And by incorporating tools to define, search for and identify exceptional transactions, it also facilitates the analysis and reporting of potentially critical situations involving cash management.
