Security systems manufacturer IndigoVision has integrated the Camera Proxy camera utility into the 4 SMS4 security management software, allowing numerous simultaneous views of a camera from a remote location and with low bandwidth.

blankIndigoVision has made it possible for an unlimited number of users to view images from remote cameras with low-bandwidth connections, like satellite links. This powerful feature allows multiple simultaneous views of a camera from a remote location and with low bandwidth. Only one video stream is sent at any time from each IndigoVision camera over the low-bandwidth network, being transferred to as many users as necessary. The control of the PTZ cameras is provided automatically and immediately to all users watching that video stream.

IndigoVision's integrated IP video surveillance system makes remote location surveillance possible with wide-area networks (Wan) and satellite links. The lower bandwidth used for remote monitoring tasks can reduce the number of users per camera, but IndigoVision teams can now transmit images from any camera to many users simultaneously, using the camera proxy utility (Camera Proxy) version 4 of SMS4.

Alex Swanson, IndigoVision Engineering Director, Reviewed: "The Camera Proxy utility transforms the use of remote and satellite connections to cameras, and it will open up new possibilities for users. We are very pleased to offer it as part of this new version." The Camera Proxy camera utility is included in the version 4 SMS4 security management software, that can be updated through the Software Update Program (Sup, (English)) by IndigoVision.

IndigoVision's SMS4 is the comprehensive suite of security management software, allowing to control all the hardware so that the user is in charge of the system. The version 4 SMS4 is the latest evolution of software towards comprehensive security management.
