Flir syncs thermal and visible light images with Mix Starter
The new Mix Starter multispectral imaging solution designed by Flir, company Teledyne Technologies, Provides an advanced level of detail and accuracy to infrared images for many industries.
Flir Mix Starter synchronize and harmonize high-speed thermal and visible light imaging precisely, providing clearer information to accelerate development in the defense sectors, commercial and academic research.
Thanks to this combination of images, this advanced solution from Flir, company Teledyne Technologies, offers researchers and engineers a powerful system of analyze, interpret and share complex thermal environments with much more accuracy and detail.
As explained by this company, Until now, researchers had to choose between thermal and visible light images: some show heat signatures, while the latter offer structural details. Record both data and try to harmonize them manually (or even more difficult, sync them temporarily) can give inconsistent results and is time consuming.
The result is that the data is approximate, but never complete enough. “Flir MIX represents a game-changer with its ability to capture and synchronize high-speed thermal and visible light images.”, of until 1.004 frames per second”.
The camera and software work together to provide a set of harmonized data from a spatial and temporal point of view, so that details are no longer lost nor do we have to make guesses, but you get a complete image of movements fast.
“Flir Mix simplifies analysis by combining high-quality thermal and visible light images in real time.”, all within a simple-to-use hardware and software product - says its senior global product manager, Matthew Hasty-. This solution allows researchers to perform precise spatial coordination with radiometric data for each pixel, providing detailed temperature information across the entire image, “streamlining analysis and shortening identification time”.
Flir Mix Starter Packs or Kits are tailored solutions, that are sold in three packages, already available on the market:
Flir Mix X-Series Starter Kit: Optimized for high-speed research applications, how to test airbags, materials analysis and ballistics, which is combined with the X69xx thermal cameras of this company to have a high-speed visible light device, precision lenses, custom mounting hardware and full connectivity, all together with Research Studio for intuitive data analysis.
Flir Mix A-series Starter Kit: oriented to applications such as electronics design, renewable energy and battery testing, integrates with the A67xx thermal cameras to offer a versatile setup for visible light imaging, Custom mounting and robust networking solutions ensure accurate data capture.
Flir Mix Toolkit: designed for researchers who want to combine thermal and visible light images in the post-processing phase, which is offered as a complementary license to one of Research Studio Professional Edition already existing.
This kit eliminates the complexity of traditional post-processing by synchronizing each thermal and visible light frame in real time, providing a complete set of data that allows obtaining information more quickly and clearly.
