Axis expands its Camera Station ecosystem with ACS Edge and Cloud Storage
The new tools of Axis Communications offer businesses a wide range of options, Whether they need hybrid or on-premise surveillance systems or cloud solutions. Solutions that seek to provide greater control in video surveillance systems.
To strengthen its commitment to secure technologies, Scalable and flexible, Axis Communications has added two new tools to its ecosystem: Camera Station (ACS): Camera Station Edge (ACS Edge) and Camera Station Cloud Storage. Two solutions set to transform network video management through innovative cloud technologies.
Axis Camera Station Edge introduces an advanced solution for video data management by processing images directly in the camera, eliminating the need for external servers or cloud processing solutions. This local image processing system not only brings more speed, but also minimizes the necessary infrastructure, which translates into a reduction in operating costs and total cost of ownership for the user (Tco).
"With ACS Edge, We offer true camera-to-cloud technology, while the other new features of ACS allow our customers to choose between hybrid solutions, in the cloud and on-premises", explains David Needham, EMEA Business Development Program Manager at Axis Communications.
One of the main advantages of ACS Edge is faster access to video, since the processing takes place in the camera itself. This reduces system complexity and the need for on-the-ground infrastructure. Integrate Axis on-premises devices with cloud services to manage large volumes of video through an intuitive interface. To deploy this new solution, you only need a company camera with an SD card or an S30 series recorder, minimizing installation time and routine maintenance.
Secure cloud storage
Together with ACS Edge, Axis Camera Station Cloud Storage has also been presented, A fully managed, subscription-based secure cloud service. This solution opens the door to long-term video storage, to access images regardless of where the hardware is located. This gives businesses peace of mind that their video data will be protected even in the event of hardware failure or physical damage.
Processed video can be automatically transferred from cameras to the cloud, eliminating the need for expensive on-premises storage systems and allowing for much more flexible access.
The service also offers a retention period of 30 days for 720p video, making it ideal for companies with a presence and activities in different regions.
"With the introduction of ACS Edge and Cloud Storage, We offer companies a wide range of options, Whether they need hybrid or on-premise surveillance systems or cloud solutions. Axis Camera Station is a well-established solution that has proven reliable in different industries and this new generation will continue to put customers in full control over their video surveillance systems.", says David Needham.
