Axis brings panoramic video surveillance to food processing and industrial environments with the M4337-SPLVE

The new 360º panoramic camera M4337-SPLVE Axis Communications combines artificial intelligence capabilities with a stainless steel construction with high corrosion resistance, thus targeting industrial and food processing environments with high hygiene requirements.

The Axis M4337-SPLVE Panoramic Camera, new fisheye camera of 6 megapixels, allows monitoring large areas with a single camera and full coverage of 180° or 360°, which reduces blind spots providing a comprehensive view of operations. The device also supports up to four digital PTZ views and different image options without distortion, which allows operators to simultaneously monitor specific areas within the panoramic field of view.

One of the main advantages of this model is its construction in marine-grade 316L stainless steel (IN 1.4404) with an electropolished finish. This feature provides high resistance to corrosion and allows the camera to undergo the necessary cleaning processes in environments with stringent hygiene requirements. The camera also has the certification NSF/ANSI Standard 169, intended for special equipment and devices used in the food sector, which makes it especially suitable for food processing facilities.

Las tecnologías Axis Lightfinder y Forensic WDR complementan las capacidades de imagen, ayudando a preservar los colores y los detalles en escenas con condiciones de iluminación difíciles.

Para optimizar el uso de la infraestructura de red y almacenamiento, la cámara también incorpora la tecnología Axis Zipstream y es compatible con los códecs AV1, H.264 y H.265, lo que permite reducir los requisitos de ancho de banda y almacenamiento de video.

IA, certificaciones y ciberseguridad

La Axis M4337-SPLVE incorpora recursos de artificial intelligence para transformar las imágenes capturadas en información útil para la seguridad y la eficiencia operativa. El equipo cuenta con una unidad de procesamiento de aprendizaje profundo (DLPU) y viene con Axis Object Analytics pre-installed. Junto con la plataforma ARTPEC-9 chip, estas funciones permiten realizar análisis avanzados directamente en entornos edge, beneficiándose de modelos de IA entrenados específicamente para analizar imágenes de ojo de pez en 360°.

La cámara también incorpora la función Axis Image Health Analytics, which can alert operators in case the image is blocked, degraded, underexposed, or has been redirected. In addition, the metadata generated by the device can be used in dashboards and search tools, expanding the possibilities for analyzing the captured information.

Beyond supporting corrosive environments and cleaning processes, the Axis M4337-SPLVE features impact- and vandal-resistant construction. The model has a rating IK10 and comes with certifications IP66, IP67, IP68 and IP6K9K; besides, it can operate at temperatures between -40 °C y 50 °C. These features broaden its use in industrial installations, outdoor areas, and other environments where conventional equipment may be more exposed to damage from impacts, water, dust, extreme temperatures or corrosive agents.

From the cybersecurity perspective, the Axis M4337-SPLVE incorporates Axis Edge Vault, a cybersecurity platform based on hardware developed to protect the equipment and confidential information. Among its features is the secure storage and execution of operations with cryptographic keys, con certificación FIPS 140-3 Level 3. The equipment also offers secure boot and a signed operating system, which adds layers of protection to the device during its operation.
