blankSince his responsibility as MANAGING Director for Southern Europe Axis Communications, Matteo Scomegna (in the first image), who replaces Edwige Maury in office, as he starts his retirement after twelve years at the company, will lead a team of eighty people and define the strategy and functional management of all activities in this region (Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Israel, Malta, Cyprus, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco).

Scomegna started its work activity in Axis in the year 2007, where he has filled important roles in Italy and abroad until his current appointment as Director General of Southern Europe.

For its part, Pedro Alfaro (image below), Axis Communications' new director of sales engineering and training for Southern Europe, has led the Iberian subsidiary team as national sales director, "contributing to the organic and excellent growth of the markets of Spain and Portugal, as he did in the last five years when, as a key account manager, its mission was to develop Axis' business in Portugal", explain from the company.

blankFollowing his appointment, Alfaro will now be responsible for leading and developing the regional sales engineering and training team to support this activity and business development, as well as setting operational objectives aligned with industry segments.

"I look forward to taking responsibility for our sales engineering and training team by putting my experience as an engineer and my experience in sales and business development at the service of our ambition to support channel partners and be closer to the customer to achieve their success", Alfaro said.

Mario Vigevani succeeds Mario Vigevani in this role, who after eight years will face a new challenge at Axis as EMEA Portfolio Strategy Manager.

Participation in Trafic 2019
On the other hand and as in past editions, Axis Communications will participate in Trafic 2019, International Safe and Sustainable Mobility Hall, who has opened his doors today in Ifema Madrid Fair until next time 11 October.

Axis participates together with the company Citilog (stand 5C11) to show the latest developments in automatic incident detection; collecting traffic data; intersection control; video management and license plate recognition, along with the manufacturer's new cameras.
