SightLogix thermal cameras protect the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi

The SightSensor thermal cameras provide volumetric coverage over water and do not require fences or defined perimeters. To these, and to achieve a perfect security infrastructure, the IPSecurityCenter solution from CNL Software is added.

He Louvre Abu Dhabi is one of the buildings that are part of the cultural district of Saadiyat Island along with three other museums and an entertainment center.

Designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel, the museum, opened just over two years ago, has an area of about 24.000 m² and houses the largest collection of artworks in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

SightSensor smart thermal cameras provide volumetric coverage over water and do not require defined fences or perimeters. They detect intruders with high accuracy, even in the presence of reflections and water movements, which normally cause a large number of nuisance alerts for smart camera analysis.

SightSensor's precision video processing automatically analyzes the scene to determine security threats and communicates critical information about the size, speed, and location of the intrusion so guards can respond in real time.

At the Louvre Abu Dhabi, SightSensor thermal detection cameras create a wide safety buffer zone over the surrounding body of water, detecting the presence of all vessels, including jet skis or inflatable boats, that approach the facilities or even cross the bay, a una distancia de hasta 600 metros.

When a target violates speed or distance rules, it is detected by the camera which sends an alarm, a video of the event and the GPS location to display it in the IPSecurityCenter PSIM of CNL Software. This early-warning detection system provides instant awareness of approaching intruders, giving time to analyze the video, determine the threat and respond.
