One of the most important components of the Axis Companion Line is the 8 Companion Channels, that integrates a PoE switch to reduce costs during installation. It's a highly rugged device that includes a hard drive designed for video surveillance applications and a fanless design. In addition, It has a USB port for easy export of video recordings and a wireless access point for direct access to the system from mobile devices.

The solution leverages the power of Axis Companion video management software, for iOS and Android mobile devices, that does not require a computer for system configuration or normal operations. With this app, Video recordings can be securely accessed and cameras can be managed remotely from a smartphone or other mobile device.

The IP cameras available in the Axis Companion Line offer a wide range of features to meet all types of applications, such as day/night video surveillance with integrated infrared illumination for indoor and outdoor use.

All of these devices allow you to record high-quality video in Full HDTV resolutions or up to 2 megapixels and include Wide Dynamic Range technology (Wdr) for optimal results in challenging lighting conditions. In addition, are compatible with Axis' award-winning Zipstream technology that reduces storage and bandwidth requirements.

The cameras have a built-in microSD card slot, which can be used in combination with an Axis Surveillance microSDXC card and the new 4 Power over Ethernet ports (Poe) Axis Companion. Together, they make it easy to expand the system or provide a cost-effective recording solution for surveillance environments that have few cameras and don't need to retain footage for a long time.
