The Italian city of San Antonio Abate reinforces its security with Axis cameras

Esta localidad italiana, en la provincia de Nápoles, has deployed a comprehensive and unified urban security system, that combines Axis network and license plate reading systems with Integra Solutions video signal management systems, according to the project designed and executed by specialist Selcom.

An advanced video surveillance system, with the aim of having greater control over crime and prevention in its fight, especially in areas with high commercial density, was the project carried out in the Italian city of San Antonio Abate in the Campania region, en la provincia de Nápoles.

Another requirement for the implementation of this system was that it included an integrated tool for security management, in order to supervise the territory in advance and manage emergency situations and support activities.

El diseño, integration and deployment of this project has been the responsibility of the specialist Selcom, who took advantage of the synergies between the network video surveillance technologies of Axis Communications and those of the video signal management system of the Italian specialist Integra Solutions.

In this sense, a system for controlling and managing all the city's security devices and applications has been installed, centralized in the iDefender software platform of Integra Solutions, as well as the two video surveillance systems that already existed at the territorial level, to which new cameras have been added, para garantizar una gestión unificada de la seguridad pública y la protección de inversiones ya realizadas y las nuevas.

El nuevo sistema se basa en el despliegue de diferentes cámaras IP y de lectura de matrículas y de gestión que se ubica en un centro control con diecisiete puestos de monitorización.

Specifically, se han desplegado 37 cámaras fijas del modelo P1357-E de Axis, con sensor de 5 megapíxeles y sistema P-Iris, que permite el control automático y preciso de la posición del diafragma y la optimización de la profundidad de campo: dos sistemas PTZ speed dome del modelo Q6032-E, así como cuatro sistemas para el reconocimiento de matrículas del modelo Q1604-E de este proveedor, ubicadas en las vías de acceso a la ciudad.

The new Axis network cameras are combined with the twenty-two network devices that already existed in the area to form a single, advanced territorial surveillance system, capable of fully meeting the city's administrative requirements.

For this, a dedicated control and management room has been created, located in the Police Operations Center, where the entire video surveillance system is centralized through iDefender Guardian Server, as well as the network devices (antennas, switches, router, etc), to carry out remote surveillance and to manage routing and intelligent alarm notification.
