Using a cloud environment, D-Link gives remote access to security from smartphones and tablets with its DCS-5020L video surveillance camera.

The DCS-5020L cloud camera from D-Link includes remote access from computers, smartphones and tablets, Pan/Tilt motorized control for 340º display, as well as motion and sound sensors.

The DCS-5020L video surveillance system allows access to images and sound live through the portal mydlink , using any browser from a PC/Mac, or with the free mydlink lite app from an iPhone, iPad or Android, with zoom touch controls, lens rotation, brightness/contrast/sound parameters and other functionalities such as instant capture of images to the local memory of the mobile device. A version called mydlink+ is available for tablets.

D-link has included in this camera sound and motion detectors, as well as infrared LEDs that deliver sharp images in any light condition, even in complete darkness at a distance of eight meters.

For its part, Real-time compression of image and sound in H.264/MJPEG format improves image quality, ensuring video fluidity without high bandwidth or data consumption requirements when connecting to the camera is done by 3G/4G.

In addition to being able to access the image and sound of the camera from anywhere, it is possible to program it to send images to the email being able to opt for time options (with the desired interval) or when the device detects sound or movement in an area to be determined.

The DCS-5020L can also act as a WiFi repeater to eliminate dead zones in wireless coverage.
