Axis Communications, IT company offering network video solutions, has expanded its extensive product catalog with the AXIS M1033-W and the AXIS M1034-W, two small network cameras with wireless capability and intelligent video surveillance features; and with the AXIS T98A-VE surveillance housing series, which facilitate the installation of equipment in critical systems.

Axis Communications has introduced the small and affordable AXIS M1033-W and AXIS M1034-W network cameras with wireless capability and intelligent video surveillance features. They offer broad video management support, as well as Axis' one-click camera connection to make connection to a hosted video service on the Internet easier. They are ideal for protecting places such as small businesses, stores, restaurants, hotels and residences, where a wired connection can be difficult or inconvenient.

The latest models in the AXIS M10 series provide excellent video quality at 30 frames per second, both in SVGA resolution (AXIS M1033-W) and HDTV 720p (AXIS M1034-W). They have wireless capabilities with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup protocol (WPS), which simplifies the process of configuring logical security on wireless networks. The combination of the 802.11b/g/n wireless standard and the WPS protocol ensures high and easy-to-use network security, while allowing reliable HD video transmission over a wireless network.

The cameras also feature a passive infrared sensor (PIR) to detect movement in the dark and a white LED light to automatically illuminate the scene when movement is detected or when activated by the user. They support two-way audio with a built-in microphone and speaker, allowing users to listen in an area while playing a recorded audio clip to visitors or intruders remotely. In addition to these features, they include I/O ports to connect devices such as door sensors to start video recording and external relays to activate lights.

The AXIS M1033-W and AXIS M1034-W models are compatible with the largest video management software on the market through the Axis Application Development Partner Program and AXIS Camera Station. The cameras include support for hosted video with one-click camera connection for managing video hosting services over the Internet, and with ONVIF for easy camera system integration.
