blankAxis Communications you have a new version of your installation monitor, AXIS T8414, a battery-powered handheld device that greatly simplifies installation and configuration settings for both Axis network cameras and analog cameras. AXIS T8414 connects directly to a camera, via BNC in the case of an analog camera or the Ethernet port of the IP cameras and displays the live video on your color LCD screen 3,5 Inch, simplifying camera display settings such as viewing angle and focus.

Paulo Silva, Axis Communications Iberia sales engineer, has pointed out: "Generally, in field mounts installers use their laptop to make adjustments to cameras, although sometimes it's complicated because they may have to be climbed on a ladder or a crane, and when the assembly is in a hard-to-reach area. Thanks to its simple hand design, AXIS T8414 can be used for any type of installation and is helpful in facilitating most of the tasks of an installer, including the ability to obtain photos and video streams that simplify the preparation of installation reports".

AXIS T8414 can power directly by PoE any camera with support to this standard, which provides remarkable flexibility when it comes to installations. Power to the cameras is achieved thanks to the device's own battery or through PoE (IEEE 802.3at PoE power requires an alternative power supply).

Search for cameras

AXIS T8412 Installation Monitor can be connected directly to a camera or network point to search for Axis cameras that are connected to it. It also automatically detects the IP address of the network camera even changing its own IP address in order to obtain the images captured by the desired camera.

Its touchscreen makes it easy to adjust image settings, controlling horizontal movement, vertical and zoom (Ptz), and allows you to record and play previously downloaded or recorded video streams with your device. To zoom in on the image, simply tap on one of the buttons on your device. It also allows you to obtain photos and record video streams from cameras up to 5 Megapixel, that can be stored internally, on a MicroSD card, or on a USB device.

AXIS T8414 offers installation support features such as a focus assistant, detection of camera MAC addresses and image recording in H.264 and MPEG formats. It also incorporates measurement features such as a bandwidth consumption calculator, a cable tester and a poE power measurement tool.
