Optex aborda el reto de las falsas alarmas en la detección perimetral con la serie TXI

The sensor manufacturer Optex launches the TXI series, a new range of curtain detectors for high mounting, designed for perimeter protection in residential and commercial applications.

The TXI sensor creates an invisible barrier along the building facade and addresses the challenge of reducing false alarms without compromising reliable human detection. This series generates a curtain of controlled detection along the perimeter which allows detecting the intruder before they reach the property. Among its most common applications are perimeter protection on ground floors, balconies, warehouses, office buildings and commercial establishments, where a narrow detection field helps define and protect the property boundary.

In high-mount applications, Detectors are usually oriented downwards to detect activity at ground level, which can make them more susceptible to false alarms caused by pets, small animals, and environmental movements. The TXI series is designed to eliminate that trade-off. In many facilities, reducing sensitivity can minimize the problem of false alarms, but at the cost of losing detection reliability.

At the heart of the TXI series is the technology OPTEX Triple AND, that uses three independent detection areas to create three detection zones, triggering the alarm only when all three zones detect simultaneously. This solution is complemented by OPTEX's SMDA digital processing, que analiza múltiples características para filtrar el ruido ambiental y mantener un rendimiento de detección más estable. For installers, the TXI series has been designed to offer a installation that is easy and adaptable to each project. The detectors allow a selectable mounting height between 2,2 y 4 meters and offer coverage of 12 x 2,4 metros. With optional zero angle, selectable according to each installation, the TXI allows adjusting the detection area to the needs of the location. Installation is made easier by the included brackets, which allow secure mounting and clean, hidden wiring. An optional TXI-BKT bracket, for ceiling or wall mounting, facilitates angle and tilt adjustment.
