VuWall Simos

The solution of VuWall for centralized video wall management integrates IT and IP systems, ensuring visual content operations 24/7 at this security and mobility control center in Stuttgart (Germany).

Simos It houses two independent centers: That of Integrated control (ILS), that offers service and support 24/7 for incoming emergency calls from firefighters and the Red Cross in Germany, and traffic control (IVLZ), responsible for traffic management for the city of Stuttgart, of the surveillance cameras in the tunnels, as well as electronic traffic display systems on major roads.

As part of the Simos modernization project, the German AV specialist Mevis.tv installed the VuWall Centralized Video Wall Management, specified by the consultant Erben Engineering, which is made up of twelve VuScape Drivers, two VuStream encoders E240 and a Application Server, all managed by its TRx centralized video system.

Mevis.tv was responsible for the installation of Two video walls for each of the control centers. The ILS is made up of 48 Panels ship 55" UniSee, while in IVLZ the video wall has been configured with fourteen panels of the same size as the previous one.

In addition, Fourteen screens have been set up in two crisis rooms, with access to the same sources. Despite the fact that these spaces have different configurations, VuWall's system provides a single IP-based video wall processing and management system that connects to a virtual infrastructure.

"There are a lot of bits and pieces to implementing a video wall system for a project of this scale and complexity," he says Hans-Joachim Spies, Founder & CEO of Mevis.tv-. As an integrator, It is paramount that everything works together seamlessly. The VuWall ecosystem exceeded our standards not only in terms of performance, but also in scalability, Flexibility and interoperability”.

VuWall processor and VuStream encoders ensure a High-quality video streaming distribution Across the network, with low latency and high throughput, for up to 4:4:4 on 4K streams. Application server provides fast access to websites, Dashboards and applications from a single, centralized source without overloading the network.

All of these devices are managed with the TRx centralized video wall management platform, allowing Simos operators to easily control and distribute visual information and data to any screen or video wall on the network.

The TRx platform combines the AV over IP distribution and advanced data management multiple video walls and KVMs, and it is designed to guarantee the operation and safety of distribution projects in several critical centers such as those of Simos.

"We are very proud to see that Simos is leveraging modularity, the ease of use and reliability we've built into our ecosystem, accomplishing their goals with this incredible project," he says Eric Hénique, Vp. VuWall International Sales Executive-. Operators can see exactly what they need when they need it on the screen of their choice and, at the same time, They provide the redundancy and low latency that control rooms demand.".
