i-PRO protects the Grimaldi Monaco Forum with intelligent surveillance

Ubicado en la ciudad-estado de Mónaco, Foro Grimaldi es un recinto para conferencias, convenciones, eventos culturales y exposiciones de arte de clase mundial que alberga más de cien eventos diversos y atrae a más de 250.000 personas anualmente.

Una de sus últimas exposiciones ha sido Monet a plena luz, que en los últimos dos meses ha recibido a 120.000 visitantes que han querido ver de cerca un centenar de obras maestras del artista, incluidas algunas inéditas.

'When the Grimaldi Forum reopened its doors to the public we looked for a solution that would help us to manage the number and flow of visitors, while at the same time ensuring the safety of the facilities. At that moment, we were also planning the long-awaited Monet exhibition, so we wanted to find the best possible technology to protect these unique masterpieces without interfering with the visitor experience,', explains Martin.

Combining high image performance with wide-area surveillance and IR LED lighting, las multi-sensor cameras from i-PRO allows the security teams of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco to monitor activity in a large room, as well as providing excellent accuracy in a specific area at any time of day or night.

'If it weren't for the amplia cobertura that the i-PRO multisensor cameras offer, we would have had to add other 77 more equipment - emphasizes Martin -. Not only do they offer this great capability with a tilt range greater than other multisensor devices on the market, but they are small and discreet so they can be integrated into the design of our facilities'.

Grimaldi Forum Monaco incorporated the scene change detection by i-PRO, an AI-based analytical application that alerts security teams about anomalies within the camera’s field of view. This technology protects artworks by identifying unusual behaviors or unauthorized proximity to valuable pieces.

The scene change detection application operates simultaneously with other applications, like that of AI object-based video motion detection (VMD), allowing the security team to perform multiple detections with a single camera.

Using the plugin i-PRO Active Guard, The security team of this facility can also quickly perform real-time searches during an incident or a deep post-event forensic analysis.

Operators can identify specific attributes in their watch lists (For example, 'man with red shirt and blue pants'), and the add-on sends a real-time alert each time a match is identified.

This exclusive i-PRO feature enhances real-time situational awareness and enables proactive security. The same process can be configured for the rapid extraction of event data during forensic investigations.
