The Tom Jobim International Airport installs Dahua thermal cameras
This initiative joins those already introduced by RIOgaleão at the terminal and has allowed it to obtain the international seal that certifies actions to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
Tom Jobim International Airport has installed two thermal detection solutions Dahua Technology to measure the temperature of passengers and employees, as a way to help prevent the coronavirus.
'The implementation of thermal cameras at the airport is an additional health security measure adopted by the concessionaire to prevent the spread of the coronavirus'. RIOgaleão found an appropriate solution to measure passengers' temperature, without compromising the boarding flow, explains Simone Mendonça, Operations Manager of RIOgaleão Terminal.
The two thermal cameras from Dahua Technology and the 'black body' devices have been installed both in the domestic and international areas. Each device measures the temperature of up to 500 people in less than three minutes or 5.000 people in half an hour, simultaneously and without contact, allowing continuous passenger flow.
The adoption of the thermal camera solution is part of a series of measures adopted by RIOgaleão to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
