Scati participates with its technology in the KAP2 project in Saudi Arabia
More than a hundred cameras from this manufacturer protect one of the sites near Damán, with a surface of 197.000 m2, which houses different facilities.
The so-called King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz project (CAP2), led by the Ministry of the Interior of Saudi Arabia, aims to develop security facilities in this country and improve military standards, which started in 2013 and which is distributed in 44 sites in five areas of the country, with a total construction area of more than 3,5 million m2.
Although fundamentally it is a 'public safety' project, KAP2 consists of a wide variety of building types, including medical centers, training, shooting ranges, forensic clinics and laboratories, recreational facilities, auditoriums, mosques, stores, sports centers and other institutional facilities.
In this environment, Scati's intelligent video solutions protect one of the sites near Damán, where a civic center has been built 197.000 m2, which includes a theater, an exhibition center, a market, a museum, a public library, the King Abdullah Center for Cultural Understanding and two hotels.
Due to the extremely harsh environmental conditions of the area, the project has had to address challenging engineering issues to ensure its durability and safety. In this sense, It has been decided to install high-resolution video surveillance cameras and availability of Scati, prepared to withstand these extreme conditions, with nearly a hundred IP devices of different models.
For more discreet video surveillance, more than thirty outdoor mini-domes have been installed, with IP67, with an image resolution of 2 MP under any lighting conditions, thanks to the integration of mechanical IR filters that allow day-night mode to be switched.
The Scati SEM-3511VR-XA2 camera has an anti-vandal housing that complies with the IK-10 protocol, especially indicated for those places most susceptible to impacts, blows, etc.
For perimeter protection, it has been decided to deploy thirty SED-35115-EY25 domes from the manufacturer. Some PTZ devices, with resolution of 2 MP, indicated to cover large areas that incorporate intelligent analytics to detect intrusions, line crossing, abandoned objects, etc. sending an alarm to the control center of any event that requires the attention of operators.
The deployment of cameras is completed with the installation of thirty intelligent IP cameras of the SIC-3511VR-EX8 model, with resolution of 2 MP and WDR technology to capture quality images with backlight technology.
The management of this entire network video surveillance system is carried out remotely with the Fenix Pro Control equipment from Scati, specifically with the model FN010-W7P-RM1. This video management platform allows viewing and playback, including control of PTZ cameras, as well as schedule alerts, access images from anywhere and in real time and share the information with other organizations if required.
With the implementation of the Scati CCTV system, The Ministry of the Interior of Saudi Arabia is able to prevent intrusions into these facilities, with very extensive perimeter areas that are difficult to control centrally.
