In order to create a store environment that protects employees and customers, the company has developed real-time thermal imaging and estrangement systems.

The retail security solutions specialist Sensormatic Solutions, company that is part of the company Johnson Controls, has put forward its proposal to help Spanish retail address the immediate future of its business with systems that protect both its employees and customers with the recommended occupancy and estrangement guidelines.

Bjoern Petersen, president of Sensormatic Solutions, explains that "as retailers face their new reality created by COVID-19, industry needs to restore consumer confidence, and that starts with ensuring that the store is a safe environment. Now more than ever, retailers need the right technology and real-time information to make critical business decisions that secure the future of their business".

In order to respond to the most urgent needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Sensormatic Solutions presents Spanish retailers with the following developments:

Real-time occupation and social estrangement: this solution Shopper Track helps retailers know the capacity within the store to comply with social estrangement guidelines or ordinances and maximum occupancy limits.

Also, helps optimize cleaning hours for common facilities or high-contact areas, as in the automatic payment area, and provides real-time data on staffing needs for efficient online shopping compliance, as in-store pickup (Bopis) or packages.

Thermal imaging to detect high body temperature: these solutions immediately show thermal and color images of people or crowds entering the facility or center.

If the camera detects high temperatures above defined thresholds, a notification is sent by store or store managers to help maintain appropriate health and safety measures.
