Johnson Controls has announced the acquisition of Internet of Things provider (We) and video that powers cloud video surveillance and IoT video services, Smartvue.

The addition of the Smartvue video platform, cloud-based, will enhance Johnson Controls' offering by providing an end-to-end solution that provides enhanced data and business intelligence to customers, as well as added value for partners.

Smartvue's global cloud-based IoT video surveillance platform is supported in 140 countries and provides services to telecommunications and security companies, Cable Companies, Storage Providers, device manufacturers and other organizations. The platform is based on IoT technologies that allow videos to be viewed from almost any device through a secure and global cloud that is accessed through a very intuitive interface. Smartvue has one of the most extensive portfolios in the industry that includes more than 800 patent registrations in their almost 20 Years of history.
