Dahua acquires Flir Systems' SMB security business

Lorex Technology, Flir Systems' security subsidiary for SMEs based in Canada, has passed into the hands of the Chinese multinational Dahua.

The official statement issued by Flir Systems materializes the sale of its Canadian company Lorex Technology, specialized in security systems for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMB) with more than one hundred products in its portfolio, to the manufacturer Dahua, for a value of about 29 million dollars, to focus entirely on critical infrastructure and enterprise vertical markets.

This is stated by Jim Cannon, presidente y CEO de Flir, in said statement: 'This divestment will allow us to focus on our critical infrastructure security business and enterprise segments, which are the foundation of many customers towards our technology.
