Lorex Technology, Flir Systems SME security subsidiary based in Canada, has passed into the hands of Chinese multinational Dahua.

Flir Systems Lorex DahuaThe official communiqué issued by Flir Systems materializes the sale of your Canadian company Lorex Technology, specialized in security systems for small and medium-sized enterprises (Smb) with over a hundred products in the portfolio, to the manufacturer Dahua, worth a few 29 millions of dollars, to focus entirely on vertical markets for critical and business infrastructure.

That's what Jim Cannon points out., President and CEO of Flir, in that statement: "This disinversion will allow us to focus on our security business on critical infrastructure and business segments, that are the basis of many customers towards our technology. As we assess our position and opportunities in this market, we determine that the SMB business no longer fits our strategy to build smart, turnkey security solutions".
