This campaign offers a comprehensive approach when it comes to protecting Mobotix products against the threat of cyberattacks, with training and tools to create secure environments.
The reference security measures in this industry, independent testing and increased user awareness in protection are fundamental to safeguarding security systems.
Under these premises, the network video surveillance systems manufacturer Mobotix has announced a cybersecurity campaign through the implementation of the so-called ‘Cactus Concept’ developed by the company.
The objective of ‘Cactus Concept’ is to provide a comprehensive approach when it comes to protecting Mobotix products against the threat of cyberattacks, a la vez que la formación y las herramientas necesarias para ayudar tanto a clientes como a partners a crear y mantener entornos seguros de videovigilancia y de control de acceso.
Like a cactus, whose branches are covered with thorns, all modules of the Mobotix system (cámara, almacenamiento, cables, VMS,…) have digital thorns that protect them from unauthorized access.
This is pointed out by Thomas Lausten, president of Mobotix (in the image below): ‘modern video surveillance and access control technologies help protect people,, places, and properties around the world,, but they are also increasingly the target of criminals trying to infiltrate,, take control or disable these systems.',. With the Internet of Things,, which adds billions of IP-connected devices every year,, our industry must lead the way in creating secure platforms, capable of reducing this risk.
As a benchmark in the digital video surveillance sector, the people in charge at Mobotix are betting on their 'Cactus Concept', which protects every element of the device's design, manufacturing and operation, together with end-to-end data encryption throughout its entire usage and management cycle.
To guarantee the highest levels of security, the manufacturer uses the services of SySS, an independent external evaluation company for security verification, which examines the security of both software and hardware elements.
