D-Link offers new features and more connectivity options on its mydlink platform

With more than one and a half million users, the manufacturer D-Link has updated the mydlink Lite app and the mydlink web portal to offer easier setup and continuous local monitoring, as well as greater control and viewing options, respectively.

The manufacturer D-Link has improved and updated the way to access and manage all mydlink products anytime, anywhere, both from the web portal and from dedicated apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices, which the company recently announced as reported Digital AV Magazine.

Among these improvements, the setup and access to IP surveillance cameras stand out, content stored on NAS storage devices, as well as a list of connected devices, visit history and other router features; in addition to local mode connection, push notifications and a more intuitive navigation.

The latest version of the free mydlink Lite app includes several new features, such as the option to connect in local mode if the user is on the same WiFi as the device, a common situation both at work and at home. This local mode eliminates the need to access the 'cloud' through the mydlink platform servers as was previously required.

Another new advantage is the direct configuration from the app to quickly and easily install new IP surveillance cameras, sin necesidad de ordenador. Con un diseño nuevo y más intuitivo, el portal web mydlink incluye ahora soporte para Internet Explorer 11, lo que permite su compatibilidad con dispositivos con Windows 8 y ordenadores con la última versión del explorador instalada. Además de soportar todos los productos mydlink, ahora se ha incorporado para el nuevo vigilabebés D-Link EyeOn Baby Camera (DCS-825L), incluyendo visión en directo, altavoz y micrófono, acceso a la tarjeta SD, notificación de eventos, detección de sonido, movimiento y temperatura.
