The new version of Herta Security's facial recognition video surveillance, BioSurveillance Next, is capable of processing 150 frames per second. It will be presented at the IFSEC fair 2013.

Herta Security BioSurveillance

Herta Security will attend the international security fair IFSEC, which will be celebrated from 13 al 16 in May in Birmingham (United Kingdom), with its BioSurveillance Next video surveillance solution. It is a new version that improves the functionalities of the previous one but still bases its operation on facial recognition. The system uses surveillance cameras to detect faces, even if they are in motion and at a distance, and without requiring collaboration from the user.

BioSurveillance Next is capable of processing in real time, live or recorded video in high definition at a speed of 150 frames per second and, for it, uses the latest GPU technology. It can be integrated with CCTV systems, video management (VMS) e, incluso, puede funcionar de forma autónoma.

This development by Herta Security, spin-off de la Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC), es capaz de detectar los rostros aunque éstos estén parcialmente ocultos por el uso de gafas, scarves or caps. Es altamente escalable y resulta muy útil en entornos donde haya un gran número de personas, such as airports, subway or train stations, shopping centers, sports stadiums or urban centers, ya que es capaz de identificar de forma simultánea múltiples caras en movimiento.
