The open platform IP video management software provider (Vms), Milestone Systems, has created a new business unit, Professional Products, with the aim of developing new IP video software products and services for SMEs, which will be directed by Janne Jakobsen.

The management team has created an organizational objective focused on the high-volume sector and small to medium-sized businesses. (Smes) creating a new business unit called Professional Products. Janne Jakobsen has been hired as Vice President to launch this division. He has previously led Bang's user experience department. & Olufsen, in addition to being responsible for Nokia's smartphone portfolio business in Europe.

John Blem, Product Manager and Founder of Milestone Systems, has declared: “Milestone's strategic plans include continuing to direct our software and marketing to fit the needs of customers and partners in various segments.. We are especially pleased to have Janne on board with her experience in Bang's business and product management. & Olufsen and with his leadership of large international departments at Nokia. Janne Jakobsen has been responsible for determining the user interface in some of Nokia's major product models, and this user perspective will have positive applications for Milestone's offerings: “Milestone is already moving full speed forward to evolve toward ease of use and functionality.. Customers demand minimal complexity, both at the product level and in relation to installation and maintenance. That's why we're considering upcoming versions of our software., where the user interface will be adjusted to fit the different target group requirements – it is the visual impression that affects the user's way of thinking about what our products are like”, added Jakobsen.
