Milestone quantifies the impact of XProtect: hasta un 60 % less time in investigations and an ROI of 133%

The video management platform (VMS) Milestone XProtect could reduce by up to 60% the time spent on security incident investigations and generate a return on investment (ROI) of the 133% over a three-year period. This is the conclusion of an independent study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Milestone Systems.

El informe, based on the Total Economic Impact methodology (TEI), analyzes the financial and operational impact of using XProtect in organizations operating complex video surveillance environments. For this, Forrester interviewed security and operations leaders from different companies using the platform and created a representative 'composite organization' of a typical customer.

According to the study, this model organization has 2.500 employees, between 10 y 15 active XProtect users, an infrastructure of 500 cameras and annual revenues of 600 million dollars.

Among the main identified results are the acceleration of investigations and evidence management, with improvements of between 30% and the 60% thanks to centralized workflows on an open platform. The report also notes increases in daily operational and administrative efficiency, as well as a cost reduction linked to the reuse of existing hardware and lower license and integration expenses.

In his words, XProtect goes beyond traditional video surveillance and acts as an AI-powered intelligence enabler.
