The provider of high-performance imaging solutions, E2V, has two new devices within its Ruby family of CMOS image sensors, the EV76C660 and EV76C661, Suitable for night vision cameras and traffic control systems.

blankE2V, company represented in Spain by Anatronic, has announced two new devices in its Ruby family of CMOS image sensors. The EV76C660 and EV76C661 models of 1.3 MP offer sensitivity that goes beyond what until recently was considered "possible" in traditional 'front side illuminated' sensors, with an extended wavelength range.

The new Ruby sensors, which are a version of the Sapphire range of e2v, are characterized by a pixel size of 5.3 μm, Quantum Efficiency (QE) greater than eighty percent and excellent sensitivity in the near-infrared spectrum (more than fifty percent to 850 Nm). Both devices help reduce system lighting costs and bring superb performance to outdoor cameras in low-light environments.

With the same package, output pinout and software interface than the Sapphire family, the new products of the Anatronic represented provide a complete solution with a single hardware and software development.

EV76C660

Optimized for rolling shutter operation, The EV76C660 combines high sensitivity and low noise to meet the requirements of outdoor cameras and night vision in, For example, High-end security applications.

EV76C661

This sensor with sensitivity improvements in a greater wavelength range is ideal in those tasks that need to capture moving objects, such as night vision cameras and traffic systems.
