Milestone Systems will develop a revolutionary new video surveillance solution
Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software, plans to develop next-generation video surveillance technology in cooperation with the companies Nabto and Securitas and researchers from Aalborg University (AAU) and from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
In collaboration with researchers from Aalborg University (AAU) y de la Technical University of Denmark (DTU), as well as technology experts from Securitas and Nabto, Milestone Systems will develop a new cutting-edge video surveillance solution that can be used to prevent theft both in private homes and in busy areas, such as train stations or airports.
The solution, entre otras cosas, it will be able to manage and search metadata, so it will be possible to quickly find a specific video, For example, all recordings that contain black cars registered within a specific period of time at a distance of 200 meters from City Hall. The solution will also incorporate analytical capabilities, so it will be possible to detect irregular movement patterns, as well as unauthorized people walking in a specific area. Mientras que los sistemas tradicionales hacen sonar una alarma cuando se produce un robo o algo similar, the new solution will issue a warning before the crime takes place. With this project, Milestone Systems hopes to develop a unique solution that can be sold worldwide.
Hans Jørgen Skovgaard, Vice President of Product Development at Milestone Systems, has pointed out: “We hope the solution will help reduce thefts and increase the speed at which home burglaries are resolved, as the acquisition of video surveillance security packages for private homes is becoming increasingly common. At the same time, the solution will translate into a saving of resources in the security industry, as it will reduce responses to many false alarms: Securitas could quickly get an overview of whether there is a real alarm or not “. For this project, Milestone will bring together leading experts in Denmark who can help solve the technical problems the project entails.
Lars Thinggaard, CEO of Milestone Systems, ha indicado: “We are very pleased to launch this research project together with the DTU, the AAU, Securitas and Nabto.
