The manufacturer of IP video solutions, Lilin, has partnered with the French firm Shaktiware, specialized in identification systems, vehicle tracking and classification, for the development of a license plate reading solution.

blankLilin He has collaborated with Shaktiware and its software to develop an effective license plate number recognition solution. Shaktiware is a French company that provides smart solutions for vehicle flow management. They specialize in operations including terminals, Logistics & Transport & Ports Areas. Shaktiware's technology is based on a central server that caters to operational demands such as on-site vehicle location and tracking, Site Access Management and Parking Supervision. The software also uses video sensors to identify the location of vehicles.

Uno de los requisitos más buscados por los usuarios de vídeo IP hoy en día es el ANPR (Automatic License Plate Number Recognition), But in reality, It's extremely difficult to achieve. This is due to a number of factors, such as reflection and motion blur in low light values. Traditionally, Frame integration technology has been used to improve the low-light performance of cameras, But motion blur is a common problem in areas with motion. Lilin's technology works to eradicate these problems and has proven successful in an application in France. Sense Up + It is a feature that incorporates an advanced light optimization system, producing excellent low-light images in color or black and white, No Motion Blur. Uses intelligent image signal processing technology with a high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, AGC control and 3D noise reduction to provide the best low-light image.

Shaktiware already had cameras used to deploy its license plate recognition software, but they were intrigued by the technologies incorporated into Lilin's latest IP product ranges. The project was started with the specified requirements: the camera had to be an HD IP camera, with good sensitivity and built-in IR, that it would be able to capture license plates in two adjacent lanes. After being recommended a 1080p HD IP camera capable of recording at 30 Fps, Shaktiware has tested Lilin's camera and examined the differences. Once installed, The level of visualization has improved drastically.

Lilin's software and cameras integrated with Sense Up+ technology have already been installed in bus stations in France, resulting in crystal clear visualization through 30 lines. The information collected by the software and cameras provides safety information about where the buses are parked, It assists in updating traveler information and provides exact bus schedules for users. Thomas Clement,, Technical Director of Shaktiware, has declared: “We found that Lilin's staff responded very well and provided specialized support during the project”.

The system is now fully installed and Shaktiware are very impressed with the quality of the video that is consistently delivered. The combination of Shaktiware's software and Lilin's cameras has proven to provide an effective ANPR solution.
