Milestone Systems has added the IP video management software XProtect Corporate to its catalog 5 with XProtect Smart Client 7, which is going to change the way video surveillance is viewed.

The XProtect Smart Client is an adaptable client application, easy to use for the daily operations of surveillance facilities. The new streamlined interface helps improve usability, making it easier to control facilities of all sizes, access live video, investigate security incidents and export recordings. The XProtect Smart Client provides an efficient working environment that can be optimized for different tasks and operator requirements, and is available in 26 languages. for the first time, The XProtect Smart Client has the option to choose dark or light themes for different work environment needs.

XProtect Corporate 5 also incorporates Remote Camera Connection to facilitate and secure connection to remote cameras over the Internet.

XProtect VMS Platform

Christian Bohn, vice president of product management and marketing for Milestone Systems, has explained that “XProtect Corporate is the most cost-effective XProtect VMS platform. The new version allows better use of available server resources, storage and network bandwidth than previous XProtect products”.

This release includes MIP SDK 3, which gives Milestone Solution Partners more capabilities when integrating their offerings with XProtect.
