New range of hybrid encoders transforms analogue signals to IP, enabling customers to move from analog to IP without having to replace their existing security infrastructure.

sony_sntSony Professional has launched a new series of encoders for the video surveillance sector capable of converting analog signals to IP, enabling customers to move from analog to IP without having to replace their existing security infrastructure.

The new network video encoders range from the basic model of an SNT-EX101 channel to the 12 Sheets, 48 SNT-RS3U Rackmount and Channel.

The full range of encoders can transmit images dual-way from 30 frames per second up to full resolution D1 at JPEG/H.264 configurations, JPEG/MPEG4 or MPEG4/H.264. This makes much easier integration possible when migrating from the existing analog camera system to an IP-based system., thus eliminating the need to replace existing security infrastructure.

Using an interface that supports network video (Onvif) enables integration and compatibility with other network video products, regardless of the manufacturer of the same. In addition, The possibilities of integration are enhanced so Sony expects this to revert to the transition from analog to IP formats within a market that remains analog in a 70%. New encoders incorporate significant advanced features.

Intelligent motion detection, Video loss detection capability and PTZ camera support will improve management of the most demanding application environments, From schools, Transport, Factories, health centres, to public areas and airports.
